Roots Domestic was founded in a return to home.

After a life transition, I moved back into the family home where I grew up — a place layered with memory, craft, and creativity. While settling in, I uncovered old plans my mother had drawn up decades earlier to create a custom soft furnishings workroom.

My grandmother made her living through this same work — designing and crafting custom soft furnishings by hand.

Roots Domestic is my continuation of that lineage. A modern workroom rooted in domestic craft, where lampshades and soft furnishings are made slowly, thoughtfully, and with reverence for the hands that came before me.

At its core, Roots Domestic is about honoring domestic craft as something skilled, intentional, and worthy of permanence. It is a quiet luxury — informed by the past, made for the present, and built to last.
